Happy Friday everyone! Today, I want to share a new layout I created using the June "La Dolce Vita" kit. I love the pretty papers and embellishments by Elle's Studio in this kit. Seriously, this is one pretty kit.

For this layout, I layered some tags and die cuts using foam squares to make an impact on my layout. A girl can never have too many die cuts. I used the pretty Jillibean Soup Paper for my base and the sticker for my title. And because sometimes, we need a gentle reminder that "there's something good in every day" I stamped that sentiment at the bottom of my layout. I love Precious Remembrance Shop's stamps. Check them out here in the shop!

Here are a few close-ups:
I added some white twine to add a little home-spun appearance on my layout.
I love how the labels look clustered together with a few more die cuts.

May Clique Kits Blog Share

Hi everybody. It’s Nicole here, wishing you a fabulous Wednesday! Welcome to the May Pep Rally. This month, we hope to inspire you with the "Northern Lights" kit. I am loving all the Fancy Pants papers, journaling cards and the exclusive die-cuts this month! What do you think? Gorgeous.

For our challenge this month, we challenged everyone to use white space on their projects. I love the look of a layout with lots of white space, but every now and then, I like to mix it up a bit.

The Pep Rally, for those of you who are new to the Clique, is our monthly subscriber and design team blog share typically held the third week of the month and participants earn product credits-yes, free stuff to do what you love-who can beat that? It's out with the old, in with the new time at Clique Kits when we (hopefully) have all killed our kit from the previous month and have lots to show off, and we start to chat and hype the excitement for the coming month’s kit. In other words, we party! We don’t leave out our guests-there is always a prize for a hopper who comments on each post and likes and shares on social media! Just leave a new comment for each like and share for a separate entry in the random drawing for this month’s prize. One lucky person will win this month’s Northern Lights kit! Get the word out and have your friends join our Pep Rally because they might end up with this gorgeous kit at their doorsteps!

Feel free to hop in any order, if you get lost, you can always come back here to find your place. This month, I decided to play with my stamps. I love stamping, but I don't pull them out enough. However, when I saw the Precious Remembrance stamps, I couldn't help myself. I was so inspired to create my own background for my layout. I used a few journaling cards and die-cuts to decorate the center of the circles. Believe it or not, once I stamped the images onto the cardstock, this layout was super quick and easy to put together.

Supplies: Cardstock: Stampin'Up, Journaling cards: Die-Cuts: Clique Kits, Flair: Tag: Stickers: Fancy Pants Designs, Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Ali Edwards, Ink: Stampin'Up.

Time to shine

Good morning friends! I have a fun layout to have a fun layout to share with you today. Initially, this was supposed to be a simple layout. However, I just couldn't leave it alone. The first thing I did, before adhering anything down was run my white cardstock through my silhouette to create a scribble heart using a yellow sketch pen. I had to play with it a bit. The first one came out too large so I flipped the cardstock over and tried again. It's a great way to get a stamped image without having to mess with acrylic stamps and inks. Skip the mess and try using your silhouette!

After I placed everything down and added a few taps of mist, I still wasn't satisfied so I pulled out my word stencils by We R Memory Keepers. It's been a while since I hand-stitched on a layout so I decided to do something different for a change. I didn't like how the fuchsia looked on the layout so I pulled out a blue permanent marker and lightly traced the thread to change the color. It took a while, but I think it complimented the layout nicely. What do you think?

Bonjour everyone! Happy Monday. Today, I have a quick and simple layout to share with you. I went through my scraps to see what I could come up with. This layout is filled with several die cuts and cut-aparts. Also, I decided to cut half of the journaling card off and use it as a large photo corner for my layout. I also cut a little piece of the "Let's go" paper into a photo corner for the top right-side of my photo.

Hello everyone. I have another layout to share with you, using the May Clique Kit. Every year, since Edward was born, I have been creating yearly layouts for him. You can see them all here! I think it will be neat when he gets older, he can flip through his albums and read about the things he enjoyed as a kid. Things like, what's his favorite food, movie, toy, best friends, teacher's name etc. I wish my mother had done this for me, but she didn't and so I am doing it for my son because I think it's important.

Most of the time, when I need to include a great deal of journaling on my layout, I will type up my journaling and print it on regular white cardstock paper. That way, I have more room to add a photo or two and some embellishments. I don't know about you, but I love embellishments and I can't create a layout with at least 5 or 6 embellishments. LOL

I am really excited about this month's exclusive die cuts from Clique Kits! I have been wanting a "Wassup Dude?" and "Charmer" die cut for a while now and the clouds. This was the perfect kit for these adorable dies. Lacey did a great job. The colors are so vibrant and beautiful.

Meet Zipper

Hello scrappers! Nicole here today to share my new pet with you in a layout. :) A few months ago, I needed to go to Petsmart for puppy pads and Edward had me walking out with a pink Beta for him. However, when we were there, I saw a blue Beta I liked, but didn't buy it.

Well, a day later, I went back for the little guy! I couldn't help it. He was so blue and beautiful, I had to have him. I named him Zipper because he is always zipping around his tank.

For this layout, I used the May Clique Kit and the UPC cut file! I think cut file looks really neat on this layout! I had fun pulling the remaining cut file from my mat. It came off the mat like a little maze. :)

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Fancy Pants, Basic Grey, Journaling card: Clique Kits, Flair: Stickers: Fancy Pants Designs, Die cuts: Basic Grey, Clique Kits, Digital Cut file: Just Nick Studio.

It's messy and I love it

Hi everyone. I don't know about you, but I love this gorgeous paper by Fancy Pants Designs that is in the May Clique Kit. It's beautiful isn't it? When I first started pushing papers around, I realized that I didn't really want to cover this paper up that much. But I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it. So, I got out my stamps and Silhouette pens and started doodling and stamping all over the paper to make it more artsy. Have you seen these awesome stamps by Precious Remembrance Shop? I love them and we have some available in the shop!

After stamping the arrows and hearts onto the paper, I used a white silhouette pen to fill in the shapes to make them stand out more.
I used the scribble stamp image to make the flowers a little messier. I love it.
A little tip: When using black ink and the image doesn't turn out clear, use a black marker to fill in the image.
Notice the difference?

Good morning scrappers! Today, I have another layout to share with you, featuring the Here+there collection. I love this collection. The color combination is fantastic. For this layout, I used a small bowl to draw circles to frame my photo collage and then I used a pen to hand-doodle some little scribbles. I also used a little bit of chalkboard mist in blue. This was such a quick and easy layout to create. I love the simplicity of this layout because it allows the focus to be on the photos which is what I had initially wanted.
