Let's make plans

Hi everybody. I am sharing a planner page spread I created. Since I already decorated my summer months pages in my planner, I decided to use this month's kit to decorate my October pages and added a few plans while I was at it. At first, I wasn't sure if I could pull it off... but it totally works.

The adhesive patterned sheet in this month's kit fit perfectly in the MAMBI planner squares. I simply cut a few out using scissors and added them straight on to the page.

I love the gorgeous mermaid so I had to include her on the spread.

I left plenty of room in the left margin so I can include notes etc.

What do you think? Are you a planner girl? I'd love to see your planner pages using this month's kit! Post them to your Instagram or another social media account and tag us! If you're looking for other embellishments to add to your planners, check out our shop!

Have a wonderful day,

Hi everyone. What do you think about today's Picture Challenge? When I first saw this image, I was excited because I've been wanting to try a similar blocking technique on my layout using a variety of patterned papers. For this layout, I decided to use the "Ain't Life Grand" collection because I wanted to use bright colors for my layout!

While I was at it, I decided add some hand-stitching to my layout. Super easy to do with the die cuts in this collection because Ashley added the little dots around the word to guide you!

Initially, I was going to use lime green for each of the letters and then decided on the colors pink, green, orange and blue.

I hand-cut the "hello, hello, hello" flag from the cut-aparts and added it above the cluster of tags using a glue dot.

Hi everyone. I thought it was time to stop hoarding this gorgeous patterned paper from the April Jellybean Clique Kit and use it. I love this paper so much with the greens and blues. SO pretty! We still have a few left in the shop in case you're interested in purchasing the kit. Plus, save an additional 30% using the coupon code SALE all through the month of July to save 30% on your ENTIRE order.

Before I started embellishing this layout, I sprayed some Cobalt Blue mist (Prima's Color Bloom) on to the paper, then I used a marker and star stencils I had in my stash to dreaw little stars randomly on the patterned paper.

I cut a few triangles from my scraps to create a photo corner and added a button from the stash on top of the photo corner. I added another button at the top right-side of my photo.

The die cut flower was originally pink and since it didn't go with the blues and green, I used a marker to color on top of it! Then I layered it with a die cut arrow, puffy heart sticker, enamel dot and a pearl.

Thanks so much for visiting. Click here to check out the kit!

Good Times

Hello, it's Nicole with another fun summer layout I created using this month's Clique Kit. Ah, the colors are so pretty! I can't get enough of this kit. I really like the ice cream motifs in this month's kit so naturally, I had to use them. Luckily enough, I had a photo to go with my theme too. Love when that happens.

I decided to mix a few patterns together for the background. Then I used several chipboard, stickers and die cuts to embellish my layout. This layout came together pretty quickly!
I tucked a few stickers behind the filmstrip die cut to make it pop! And there goes the smiley face again. I can't get enough of these.
I added a piece of string to the "Good times tag" then adhered it below the photo. Then I added a few more die cuts and stickers behind the photo.

Beach Boy

Hello friends! I hope you had a great week. I must say, I am loving the colors in this month's Clique kit. And since I live 4 blocks from the beach, I have a good amount of beach photos to choose from. I am a big fan of taking candid shots and scrapping them. It's a good thing because my son does not like it when I take his photos. Sigh

I am sharing a layout where I played with a variety of patterned paper to create a fun background for my layout. I selected a few patterns that I felt, matched the photo perfectly. Once I had the background designed, I added the photo and started adding embellishments.
I decided to add the vacation vibes frame on to the photo to use as a place to add my journaling! I used a slick writer so my ink would not smear. Then I added a few die cuts! LOVE the wave die cut.
I used the chipboard alphas from the July Kit paired with the silver metallic alphas from this month's kit to create a fun title. Oh, and I had to add the smilies! So cute.

Enjoy the view

Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I used the Woodland collection so I thought I'd use it for this layout. It is perfect for scrapbooking those moments in the country! I love all the cute little woodland creatures in this collection. I might have gone a little overboard with the stickers. Can't you tell? Ha

For this layout, I started out by adhering the papers down and then the photos. Once I finished prepping the base of my layout, then I was ready to tuck the embellishments here and there.

This layout is a little busier than I like, but I think everything goes well together. I needed to add a bit of color to break up the green in the photos. The touch of pink looks nice against the blue.

I decided to use a black and white photo to break up the green. Love the little word stickers and the heart cork embellishment.

It's been awhile since I actually used Ali Edward's story kit. I love these kits, but when they come in the mail, I put them in a basket and then before I know it, I forget about them! I still haven't created a layout using the Brave Kit yet. I am thinking about how I want to scrap this subject. There are so many different things going on in my head on this very subject, that I am not ready to put them down on paper yet. Know what I mean?

In the meantime, I decided to use my Fun Kit to create a fun, colorful layout using pieces of Amy Tangerine's Oh Happy Life collection and the Fun story kit. LOVE how colorful and bright this layout is.

I must admit. I had to Google "Totes" because I had no idea what this meant and I did not want to use it on my layout until I knew what it meant. LOL If you haven't had a chance to Google it yet, it is a short word for TOTALLY. I had no idea!
I love Ali's half circle chipboard, but sometimes I am not quite sure how to use them. However, while I was going through my box of embellishments from the other kits, I found the circle tag and thought it would be perfect for adding the chipboard on top of the tag. I love how it looks.

I used the "Making It Happen" chipboard piece from another story kit since it went with the theme of my layout and it looks OK with the other colors.

And because I didn't have enough embellishments on this layout (joking)... I added the acrylic word onto the photo.

I hand-wrote my journaling on one of the journaling cards that came in the kit.

And that's it. What do you think? I love the little embellishments Ali includes in her story kits. I might not use them at the time I receive my kit, but I add them in little boxes and pull them out often when I am looking for a small embellishment for my projects.

Thanks for visiting today. Have a wonderful day!

We All Scream For Ice Cream

A few months ago, I picked Edward up from Y-Care around 5pm. Once he got into the truck and buckled his seat belt, I looked over at him and asked him if he'd like an ice cream sundae for dinner. He looked at me with a silly grin on his face, waiting for me to say, "Tricked ya!" But, no, I was very serious.

Every now and then, I like to do something fun like that for Edward because I want him to look back on his childhood memories and say, "my mom was awesome." He's such a great kid and I like to reinforce that with fun things/treats. So he knows how much I appreciate him.

I used the Slice of Summer collection by Creative Memories for this layout. I love the fun colors and patterns in this collection. And the stickers are fun! So perfect for this layout.

I cut the "Memories" sentiment from one of the photo mats and used my corner rounder to create a fun tab to use above the cluster of photo mats.

I used part of a grid photo mat to hand-write my journaling. I cut another rainbow striped mat in half to adhere next to the journaling block. Once everything was adhered, I added the stickers using a few foam squares. My favorite adhesive! As an afterthought, I added a few enamel dots and heart.

Gotta love the Nerf gun and shades. LOL

Make It Count Everyday

Hello everyone. I am sharing another layout this month using the "Ain't Life Grand" collection. I have been making an effort to scrapbook more "everyday life" layouts which hasn't been hard to do since this collection is perfect for scrapbooking those special moments of your lives. I love that my 7 year old can read books such as Captain Underpants with little assistance. I am so proud. Last year, I had to fight him to read. It was so hard and I felt like I was losing, but evidently, I won! HA. Small victory in my house, but I will take it. LOL

I used the Love This and Happy Days paper as my base for the layout. Aren't the papers pretty. I love the tiny circles and the XO print. Nice job on this collection Ashley!

I cut the "Make It Count" label from the Happy cut-apart to use as my title paired with the large "everyday" die cut.

For the top left side of the photo, I used the Best Ever cut apart banner to help anchor the photo. I felt like the photo was missing something without it. Do you ever have that happen to you?

Since I ran out of space to hand journal my journaling, I decided to type it in a word document and print it on lime green to help pull the lime out of the patterns. Love how the journaling strips make the lime pop off the page. I used lots of die cut shapes, flowers and tags to decorate the bottom half of the layout with a few stickers and vellum tape.
